Ethiopian Ministry of Education performs university entrance examination in national level in each year for students who finish their preparatory school in grade twelve. This task has been done for more than five decades in our country since from the opening of modern universities in Ethiopia. For a student to join university he/she must be legally qualified in his/her academic performance, so to evaluate the performance of legal student a standard examination must be conducted. This examination is given for all students by distributing the examination to each school found in the country. The exam must be carried and sent to the place where students are taking the examination; exam stuff must go in each preparatory school in each woreda of the country to conduct the exam each year examiners may need to travel about more than 1000 km distance from the federal government. By this it is difficult and hard in the worst case to conduct an examination for Ethiopian grade twelve students in each year. These are not the only challenges but also many difficult problems including security challenges, manual data handling, error and mistake solving difficulties, very huge cost crises and losing valuable time are some of the major challenges.
No work has been done to solve this problem in the previous year in our country still the traditional method of conducting university examination is used. Now thanks to technology that we are trying to solve problem in our country. We try to solve the problem by changing the traditional working paradigms to computerized system using computer technology which is very effective and efficient for each and every work on the system.
2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM AND JUSTIFICATION
Ethiopian National University Entrance Examination is done manually currently in an insecure and inefficient way as we describe it, so that we have proposed to replace this manual based working environment to a computerize technology. The project is important for conducting entrance examination effectively and efficiently, so it has a magnificent benefit. It has a high significant in the country’s economy growth as we now the manual system is very expensive and affect highly the financial budget of the country since it is performed with many challenges and manual works, very high budget is required to accomplish the issue.

4 SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

5 SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY

-: Primary data by interviewing people form Ethiopian national examination agency.
-: Referred the procedures, policies, formats, and manuals of Examination Agency.
